The DG said this while visiting Al-Mustafa Medical Centre here, according to a news release on Monday.
Chief Fire Officer Kazim Ali and Chief Executive Institute of Safety and Human Factor Amjad H. Faridi accompanied Air Marshal Toor.
The DG Civil Defence said the social welfare organisations with the co-operation of health centres, established in public sector, could play an important role in controlling diseases from the society. He appreciated the role of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society towards serving the people in different fields, especially in education, social welfare and medical. The Chief Fire Officer said like Al-Mustafa Medical Centre, the Civil Defence Department was also imparting basic training to youth about how to provide first aid to the victims of accidents.
Earlier, President of Al-Mustafa Welfare Society Ahmed Shakoor briefed Air Marshal Toor about the on-going projects of the society.
Later, the DG Civil Defence, Chief Fire Officer along with president of the society visited different sections of the medical centre and inquired about the health and welfare of the patients.
